John Wilcox (1847-1904) was a publican and a managing director of the mineral water company Brooke & Prudencio Ltd.
Wilcox was born in Bristol in 1847 and was married to a woman named Ellen before 1874, with whom he had a daughter. By 1881 Wilcox had become the publican of the Artizan Tavern, 4 Cornwallis Place, Easton. He attended the first annual general meeting of the Bristol Mineral Water Manufacturers in 1888 on behalf of the mineral water company Batten & Prudencio, and in 1889 he became one of the first four managing directors of Brooke & Prudencio Ltd. In 1891 he was living at 47 Sussex Place West, in St Pauls, but by 1901 he had moved to 10 Effingham Road, St Andrews, where he died on the 19th of April 1904.
