The Nine Tree Hill mineral water factory was operated by Batten & Co. and Batten & Prudencio in the 1870s and 80s. The factory, which was located on the corner of Armada Place and Nine Tree Hill, was built in the mid-1870s and closed following the amalgamation of Thomas Brooke and Francisco Prudencio’s businesses as Brooke & Prudencio Ltd. in 1889. By the 1970s the building was being used as a garage, which has since been converted into flats.
